About AALA
The Association of American Literary Agents is the preeminent organization of and for professional literary agents in the United States. AALA offers resources and regularly holds panels, educational programs, and social events to help its members maintain and broaden their professional skills, keep members and their clients informed of developments in publishing, and work towards increased diversity in the profession and in publishing.
The People of Publishing Conference is volunteer-driven. Each member of our hard-working team has responsibilities to clients and book projects, not to mention family and friends, while organizing the conference. Somehow it all gets done.
